Kim’s relationship with yoga goes back to the 80’s when she took her first class in community college. Since 1999 she has been a certified health education specialist thru NCHEC. In 2008, she completed her 200 Yoga Alliance Teacher Training after studying with Nancy Kirkland and Zo Newell in Nashville. In 2012 she completed level 1 iRest meditation training with Richard Miller. In 2013 she completed her certification with Judith Hanson Lasater PhD as a trainer in restorative (Relax and Renew) yoga. In 2014 she studied with Robin Carnes, MBA, E-RYT and Karen Soltes, LCSW, E-RYT and completed the final level of training with Warriors At Ease to become a certified to provide trauma sensitive meditation and yoga instruction. As a military spouse she has donated many hours of training to active duty soldiers and their families. In 2016 she began donating adaptive yoga and meditation classes at her local library expanding the program to currently include 2 classes per week.
