Colleen discovered yoga in 2014 after attending a hot yoga class with a friend. She realized yoga was something she needed in her nomadic life. As a military spouse and mom, finding a studio or gym to practice became a priority with each move. It brought a sense of grounding and strength, physically and mentally. In 2019, she moved to Kentucky and attended a weekend KARMA Kids Teacher Training. She was inspired and wanted to continue learning about yoga, and bring its importance and value to all ages. She enrolled in the 200hr RYT program offered at KARMA School of Yoga and Wellness, and completed the program in March of 2020. Since then, she has been volunteering and teaching yoga. She enjoys leading a class, and being a student. Her hope is to bring the peace, focus, and strength she feels from a practice to everyone. She continues to learn on and off the mat through workshops, courses, teachers and literature.
